A painting I've done of a scroll sitting on a relatively cluttered desk. I tried to imply some things about whoever knowns this scroll or the contents of the scroll itself by the items depicted around it. The books and quills indicate perhaps the person is scholarly and does their own writing or journaling. The spilled coins and the compass to me suggest that the owner could be some sort of cartographer having just been paid to map out a newly discovered land. But what do you think?
